CHROMA.SCAPES

CHROMA refers to the purity of a colour, the intensity of a distinctive hue. SCAPE denotes a particular type of scene.

‘CHROMA.SCAPES’ is a project that explores particular landscapes through a deep dive into the specific hues and tones found in the vistas of that environment. For our first iteration we have travelled through Connemara, an area of immense beauty and wilderness, on the west coast of Ireland. We have created three colour gradient blends in response to the specific chromatic profile of the hedgerows of Sky Road, the mountains of the Inagh Valley and the lichen and rock pools at Glassilaun Beach. We have created monoprint blends using a printmaking press and Akua Inks.
