On the evening of Friday, 21st June, as the solstice ushers in the longest night of the year, I'll be opening the doors to my new studio space in celebration of darkness and light.
You're invited to join me at Kari Cahill Studio, 113 Harrington Lane from 5-8pm for an informal open studio gathering. A chance to wander my studio, see artworks-in-progress, share some local refreshments and bites, and chat about art, culture, and our commune with the Tasmanian landscape, before heading out to your DARK MOFO shenanigans.
As an Irish artist now deeply embedded in this rugged island, my work explores an elemental dialogue with the wild abundance of materials this land has to offer. I’d love to chance to meet you and tell you about my process and hear about your relationship to creativity and landscape.
So mark your solstice calendar and come bask in the glow of good company, art, and the interplay of light & dark.
Beir Bua,
Kari
